Foster Farms has been a family-owned and operated company for four generations. Founded in California’s Central Valley, back in 1939, we have always been committed to providing consumers with the highest-quality, best-tasting poultry products available.

The vision and passion for quality shared by Max and Verda Foster in 1939 remain the driving force behind everything we do today. Today, Max and Verda's grandson, Ron Foster, is the CEO of the company. Having worked with his grandfather for 23 years, he continues to passionately pursue their vision. This family-run business, now over 10,000 employees strong, still feels like a family. Together with our broker partners, we hope to help you make poultry products successful on your menu.
On June 15, 2009 it was announced that the family-owned Foster Farms has acquired the Fernando's and El Extremo foodservice brands from Conagra Foods.
